Cheerleading consumes most of my time. I have done cheerleading for eight years as of this year. Last year I was selected to be a captain and got a leadership award at NCA camp at Husson University. The staff members had to choose who they thought was a great leader my team's staff buddy chose me and said I was a silent leader, but I was a great leader. I also got The All-American Nominee ribbon from two of the staff members for stunting. I am a flyer for the team and I try hard to achieve my goals. We cheer at BMU for the Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams every winter. This past fall we started to cheer at Oxbow High School for their football team. Cheering at football games has been a great experience for all of us cheerleaders. It is definitely different than being inside at a basketball game. I am a dedicated cheerleader and I love what I do.

Cheer Camp at Husson University
During the summer in July we go to Husson University in Maine to a week long cheer camp. This year was our first year going as a BMU team instead of going with Cheer Magic which is an All-star team that the Littleton cheer coach had started. We go and learn different skills and put together a routine. At the end of camp we perform our routine and compete against other teams.

BMU started a cheerleading team with little knowledge about the sport, as the years have passed we have been able to develop an amazing program with stunting and tumbling. Others have came to the Blue Mountain Cheer Program and made us better as individuals and as a team. We have had help with our competition routine and we've learned how to max out our scores in smaller categories. This year the Blue Mountain Varsity has developed a close relationship together and we are the team who is paving the way for the younger cheerleaders coming up. As Varsity Cheerleaders the youth and middle-school teams look up to us. We love to help both of those teams and try to get them to be the best that they can be.
